In addition to the supreme skills and knowledge of Ted Forrest about the game of poker, his passion and dedication has allowed him to become one of the World Poker Tour made millionaires. After giving up his studies to pursue a full-time career in poker, he became an instant success, despite only starting at minor poker events and tournaments within the Los Angeles and Las Vegas areas. Aside from having a successful career at the World Poker Tour, he has also registered a lucrative career at the World Series of Poker.
Generally, Forrest has already played in 49 highly competitive World Poker Tour tournaments, which is 45th most among all the active players of the tour. Simultaneously, his 2.04 winning percentage is enough to place him as a top 76 finisher in the tour. Overall, he has already reached the final table five times, which is good for seventh best in the tour. Additionally, he has solidified his professional poker record with nine excellent money finishes. At present, his career earnings of $2,310,575 place him 18th best overall in the World Poker Tour.
In Season 1 of the World Poker Tour, Forrest was able to place fifth overall at the WPT World Championship, where he took home $119,990. In Season 2, he once again joined the WPT World Championship tournament, this time finishing at a much lower 22nd place overall. In Season 3, he participated in three major poker tournaments, namely the Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship, the Five Diamond World Poker Classic, and the L.A. Poker Classic. In the first event, he finished a decent 19th place, while at the second event was much better as he scored a 13th place finish. At the third tournament, he reached the final table with a fourth place finish, making him $263,487 richer.
In Season 4, Forrest was able to make it big in one major tournament of the World Poker Tour. After signing up for the Mirage Poker Showdown at Las Vegas, Nevada, he was able to reach the final table once again. This time, he almost won the match after falling short at second place, which also gave him a hefty cash prize valued at $579,386. In Season 5, Forrest will be able to reach his dream and win his first-ever major poker title at the World Poker Tour. At the Bay 101 Shooting Star event, he defied the odds as well as the presence of other excellent poker players by winning first place overall. Besides the glory and fame, this major victory was able to give him a prize valued at $1,100,000.
In Season 6, Forrest proved that he still got a lot of game in him, joining two major World Poker Tour events, specifically the Bay 101 Shooting Star and the Foxwoods Poker Classic. While not as good compared to his past performances, these two victories are enough to prove that he is indeed a major force to reckon with in the world of poker. At the Bay 101 event, he finished 25th best, while taking home a decent $16,000 prize. At the Foxwoods Resort Casino event, his sixth place finish is enough to land him a hefty $103,360 cash prize.
